The morning was comfortable, We rode to Cranston, stood around, then had coffee, then stood around. The sun started to warm up the area. I was standing in line holding my flag, waiting, the day grew warmer. I had on a leather jacket, a leather vest, a long sleeve shirt, and a leather ascot.
My back noticed it first..tiny riverlettes of water began rolling down my spine. Next the head, little beads of sweat started forming around my sun glasses and on the back of my neck. Still we stood. I turned to "Gizmo" (RoF) and said, "Gee, I wish I had my chaps on"
