FREE AT LAST...FREE AT LAST!

With a grown and one thunderous belch, my C90 woke up from her winter's hibernation, ready to ride the open road.

In the not so far distant past, ole Gray Beard rode year round. But, moving to Lebanon tamed his off season riding quite a bit. You see, Lebanon in noted for growing tons of mud and rocks every spring! I Mean, Every Where You Look!
I'm not talking little patches of shallow mud that our intrepid road captain likes to splash through; I'm talking sippy hole mud; The kind the red necks love to race through with their mud buggies. Honestly, they actually do! Who wins? I think the guy with the most mud stuck to his body, the crappiest looking rig and the biggest wanger takes the top prize!

Well, thank goodness we are mud season in Lebanon. Now the only trick is finding little strips of asphalt to ride on. They kind of snake through the tons of sand that our town crews so graciously spread, three days after every storm.

Oh well, nothing in life is perfect!

BACK IN THE WIND!

Enough said...

PASSING TIME

Guess Who!
It is March! The true beginning of our riding season!

So, why the heck is there as foot of snow in my front yard?

Mother Nature has a cruel sense of humor. Yesterday it was 50 degrees. I fired up my bike and cursed the mud in my yard. What a day to ride!

Today, I'm back in the grips of winter, suffering PMS! (parked motorcycle syndrome)

All the symptoms and signs are there: Itchy palm on my throttle hand, cramps in my clutch hand... Flashes of anger whenever I look out my window at our "Winter Wonderland" and a longing for hamburgers and hot dogs.

March is a cruel, cruel month for sure!

Our club keeps moving along, planning upcoming events for our '09 riding season.

Our bike blessing in April is coming together nicely. Our T shirt adds are in and we are having a better time signing up vendors this time around. Having a successful event last year is helping us make this years event even better.

Thanks to all who volunteered to work this event!

Please remember to join us for our March 10th meeting of our Windham Chapter at Martello's Restaurant in Canterbury. More information is available, check out my last blog.
