Moving On

Life is never static, it flows and ebbs like a river running out to the sea.

It's time for Gray Beard to move on with his life.

He is now a retired old fart who refuses to get old and rusty!

Good thing is, he has plenty of company in our club.

We move on as we always have:
With the wind in our face, riding our iron steed!

On February 10th, 15 members of the Windham County Riders met at Martello's restaurant for their first dinner meeting. The food was good, prices were reasonable and the owner really put out the welcome mat for our group!

Bubba Gowin is the Chairman of the Windham County Riders, Rick Haslett is the co-chair and Boomer has been chosen as the Road Sargent. Both Bubba and Boomer addressed the group. They are offering Saturday Rides to different destinations, both short and long distances to keep everyone happy. This is a great opportunity for us to lay down more miles this upcoming season!

If you would like more information, join us at our next dinner meeting.

Date: March 10th
Time: Dinner @ 6:00
Meeting @ 7:00

Place: Martello's
200 West Minister Road (Rt 14)
Canterbury, Ct.

If you join in the fun, you'll be in for great food and a lot of laughs!

Never Forget Who Your Friends Are,

Gray Beard

We Are On The Move!

As many of you may know, Jim Moran and our E-Board came up with the idea of creating regional areas , for the purpose of recruitment of new members.

The Chairman of the Windham Region is Bubba. He has a meeting planned for this coming Tuesday night which is to be attended by Windham Region members.

Bubba has already come up with ideas of how to offer all our club members and guests another opportunity to ride each week. The Windham Region Riders will offer Saturday rides this summer. He has selected Boomer to be our Road Sargent. From what I gather, these will be "real rides", not 100 mile jaunts. If you like to lay down miles, this summer is for you!

Casino Night was a huge success! This popular get together features great food and several different card games to enjoy. We had our annual Chili Cook Off during this event. In an extremely close vote, Patti D. came in first place with her Italian Chili. Needless to say, it was a great night to be at our club house. Gray Beard filled his belly to maximum capacity. He did need to leave a bit early as he felt a rumble in his gut. Good enough he did!

We are starting to get rider profiles into our members only page. Check it out and get to know your fellow members! If you hate to write, Gray Beard will do it for you. Just give him a few minutes of your time and he will take care of the rest!

I can't wait for the weather to break!

Be Well!

Gray Beard
