CHULA VISTA, Calif.—San Diego County authorities say a head-on crash between two motorcycles has killed a sailor and injured another man.
The county medical examiner's office says a 22-year-old sailor was riding in Otay Mesa Sunday morning when he tried to pass a group of motorcyclists by crossing into oncoming lanes and struck a Harley-Davidson head-on.
The sailor was pronounced dead at the scene. His name wasn't immediately released.
The other biker had arm and leg fractures. City News Service says he was flown to a hospital but there's no word on his condition Monday morning.
