Message from Vince Sileo

As I stated at the meeting, Joe Fogarty and I are planning a ride to Billy Joel's motorcycle garage, 20th Century Cycles. 

We intend to go on a Saturday in July or August, but recently it was suggested that September would be better weather and less traffic on Long Island; however the days will be shorter and this will be an ALL DAY trip. Below is the information that I have so far.

We need to know who is serious about attending this event so we can advise 20th Century Cycles of how many people to expect, make lunch reservations and ferry reservations.

GETTING THERE
Cross Sound Ferry Earliest Departure from New London - 7 AM Latest Departure from Orient Point - 8:45 PM Every hour on the hour in June with a few 1/2 hour departures thrown in here and there Sailing Time: Approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes SCHEDULE: 6:00 AM AOB Dunkin Donuts Montville 7:00 AM Ferry departs New London 8:30 AM Land in Orient Point 11:00 AM Arrive in Oyster bay - See Garage and Eat -  not necessarily in that order but we will need to determine this before we go so we can advise Alex at 20th Century Cycles when to expect us. 3:00 PM Depart Oyster Bay 4:30 PM Arrive at Snowflake Ice Cream in Riverhead 5:30 PM Depart Riverhead 7:00 PM Arrive at Orient Point Ferry
