I heard something unexpected

If you follow public radio at all you will know what I mean by this. Although not on Public radio, a radio station ran a "News story" about what amounts to a conspiracy. A "news story" is usually rather long, with in depth information, interviews and often on site commentary, compared to a regular news broadcast which is usually just a quick collection of the pertinent information.

The story in question was regarding United State's History, it seems that local historians were lead to believe, from journals, notes, and reports at that time, that President Lincoln was not assassinated by John Wilkes Booth.

According to this radio report, someone else killed the President and the Booth name was used because of some sort of cover up. Through these logs and journals that were found some else killed the president, and was finally caught. killed and buried as John Wilkes booth. The report went on to say that they believe someone else is actually buried as Booth. The experts applied for and received permission to exhume the body and examine it, possibly matching DNA from other members of Booth's family. The ground was broken and a crew went to work digging at the grave site. Knowing the condition other caskets from that era, a special container was brought in and the casket was placed inside that to keep in intake. Once the casket was removed from the ground it was bagged in special bag for transport to the mortuary.  Once at the funeral home the bag was removed and the casket set on a steel examining table. When the casket was opened it was quickly determined that it was not indeed, Mister Booth. it was actually Skeletor. Skeletor shot and killed the President.

No doubt what so ever

(This skit was actually on the radio around 1992 or so, it went on for a half hour before they announced the killer)
