After we visited Plymouth we detoured via some back roads to the Cape Cod Canal that connects Cape Cod Bay in the North to Buzzard's Bay in the South. It is a man-made canal that was flanked by running paths and rest stops on both sides. It was very picturesque and inviting. The weather was so perfect, we didn't want to leave.
Dave and Craig were the head and tail of our group; they allowed us to keep a nice pace and change lanes seamlessly.
Even on a section of I295 (or was it I495?) where they were doing road work and who ever manned the broken-line machine must have had a few too many because none of those lines were straight! "Ignore the lines. Just keep looking forward and follow the leader."
My position in the "Riding Order" changed up every time we stopped for gas and each time we got back on the road I found those riding around me to be smooth and professional. As much as the "Super Slab" can become monotonous; it was real pleasure riding with our group.
Plymouth harbor was full of all sorts of water craft.
Small Pleasure Craft
Large Pleasure Craft
A Stern Wheeler Paddle Boat
Fishing Boats
Old Style Sail Boats
Even Pirates!
Of course there were cars and bikes too.
Austin-Healy Sprite
Victory Cross Country
Shelby Mustang
Plymouth Rock State Park is the smallest in the system but we enjoyed it just the same.
Did anyone get pic's of the storm front we skirted on the way home? Got to admit, that one big "BOOM" got me thinking we might have to find shelter!
