Good of the Club, Good Will and New Business

From the President

* Thanks to all that came out to CC O'Brien's Saturday evening. It was a packed house, a good turnout from the Club and everyone seemed to have a great time, which proves we can all socialized with or without the motorcycle. Fun keeps the Club interesting. August 31st is the next party at Longshots in Montville so mark your calendars.

* Steve Natale successfully came out of 7 hours of surgery today. Doctors were happy with the results but it will be several months before he is totally healed. Luckily those are off season months and hopefully he is back in the saddle by early spring.

* Thanks to all that turned out for the Baby Heart Run.
Jay, the husband of Nina who started this benefit 5 years ago, is a Freedom Rider, and therefore the Freedom Riders have adopted this event. We have always supported the Freedom Riders who always support us, so hopefully going forward we can encourage even more members to attend.
There were several vendors and I am guessing 600 motorcycles comparing it to our Bike Blessing, lead on a 25 mile run by the Connecticut State Police Motor Units, with local police at every intersection. Good ride, good time, Christophers had a good set up but were not organized appropriately to serve that many people expeditiously.

* Vermont Riders
The Road Captain thought  Dunkin Donut's on Rte 32 in Franklin would be a good central spot to meet as there is gas there as well.
