Once again I have the sad task of announcing the death of another member.
David Garside a 17 year veteran of the New London Motorcycle Club passed away yesterday, Thursday, 08/15/13, after a battle with cancer.
Dave, a former fire fighter, always met the Montville Town Fire Marshall for our inspection each year.
I spoke to his wife Marilyn this morning and she informed me that he didn't tell anyone that he had terminal cancer, until he had to be hospitalized. He died at home in his favorite chair with hospice and Marilyn close at hand. I offered Marilyn a last motorcycle ride for Dave, Honor Guard Services and the Clubhouse.
Marilyn stated that there will be a Memorial Service and a buffet at Ocean Beach.
Saturday, September 7th
Possibly we may work something out between the Clubhouse and Ocean Beach. Details will follow.
