Stating the obvious

I came home the other night after helping load Ginny's truck with Jim S., I walked in the house, took my gun out of the holster, dropped the clip, cleared the chamber and set it down. My father wheeled himself over to the table, picked up the gun and said,"These things make me nervous."

I said, "Why, weren't you in the Army, didn't you use a gun in Korea?"

He said, "yes, but it wasn't mine."

I told him, "Neither is that one."
