At work today, Klay decided we needed Cannolis, Lobster Tails and Sfogliatelle (Clam shells). So we left the great City of New London and drove 50 miles to New Haven, land of cardboard pizza and other things Italian. We went to Woorster street, we drove to Grand ave and we went to Ferraros for Cannoli pie.
The story was the same at Libby's Italian bakery and Lucibello's Italian Pastry Shop
If you are ever in the mood for Italian bakery food, don't go to New Haven on a Tuesday, because Tuesday is Goombah day, and Goombahs don't work on Tuesdays.
It looks like another ride tomorrow.
JR
(Goombah = Stated with love for all our Italian brothers and sisters)
PS; The pie really isn't cardboard....of course...it isn't Pizza either.
