So...here is the ride to South Monson, Massachusetts, Quaboag Riders MC, Hill Climb as brought to you by Mister Daniel Dunn. (
AOB was at 9:00am at D&D and as usual, We left at 9:15 am with Steve Distasio leading the way (On his new bike, not to be confused with his...submarine).We had Twenty something bikes with us, Steve led us down Rt 32 to 163, across 163 to 395,395 north to rt 2, rt. 2 to 32, rte 32 to rte87, rte 87 to rte 289, 289 to 32 in Willimantic. (an awful lot of route changes to go a 19 mile distance, but straight is boring). We took 32 north out of Willimantic all the way to South Monson, Mass.
The weather was overcast and in the low 60s when we left to head north and alot of the bikers had jackets on.We meet up with Les Cropley at the Mass line, where the Club stopped to allow those who choose to ride free to put on helmets.
We arrived at Monson Hill at about 10:30am and paid our $ 11.00 per person to get in and parked our bikes in a nice dirt and DUSTY lot.The sun was out and it got hot quick so we took over two big picnic tables and moved them into the shade and sat to watch the show, and a good show it was.
At around 3:00pm we decided to head out,(somebody in the club needed longer legs getting his bike out of the lot, NO NAMES).
As usual for this Club no ride is complete without flavored frozen lactate, so we went for ice cream Les took us about a mile from the big hill, that Adrianne and he had taken the Club previously.(West View Farms on East Hill road in Monson Mass.)
We then headed back home the same route that we came up with bikes breaking off all the way back.
Here is a clue as to the member who needs longer legs, the "NO NAMES" biker, was the same person who didn't listen about the Oxford Dinner.
