The May 20th Thursday night mystery ride

The Club lined up at Davids Place on route 85 and ate, (I had the Fried Chicken Grinder). At a little after 6pm the Club formed up and headed east (left) on route 85 then right onto route 161 (Flanders road). With Steve Steve Distasio and James up front we continued south into Niantic and picked up route 156. We turned right and cruised along on 156 through Niantic, and South Lyme to Interstate 95 in Old Lyme. Crossing the Connecticut River we picked up route 9, getting off onto route 154, The Middlesex (*1) Turnpike, which we followed until turning towards downtown Essex. South Main, West Avenue, Main Street, Ferry Street, Pratt Street and North Main gave us a tour of that area. North Main becomes River Road at Falls River Pond. River Road took us north along the river to Essex Street which brought us back to 154 in Deep River Center. We took 154 north with a detour through Downtown Chester because of an out of service bridge on 154. Joining back on 154 we continued north to route 82 where we crossed the Connecticut River to Goodspeed. 82 took us through Goodspeed and back across route 85 at Salem 4 Corners and on to Old Colchester road for the trip to the Club. We arrived at the Club around 10 minutes of 8pm with about 18 bikes. A short chat session and it was time for the meeting.

WARM WEATHER AND RIDING SEASON ARE HERE. You can tell by the amount of rides coming up, it was noted during the meeting that with the size of the Club now, and numerous events scheduled on the same days we can still have representation at all of them.

Saturday!!!  Mikes Famous has an open house with free food and music. a large group from the club will be attending (Did I mention, Free Food). There are 3 meet locations for the ride in, Canterbury D&D, Norwichtown Friendlys, and D&D in Montville. From there we will be riding to Columdia for the Open House at Columbia Motorsports, Music, Bikini wash and FREE FOOD.

More info on Sat and Sun rides to follow.  Hope to see you on the road. (On your bike on the road, not actually on the road, cuz that gets messy, ask Jerry)

Does anyone know where I can find a broken Collar-bone pin? I know at least three people who need one for their vest.

Klay

(*1) What the Hell is a Middlesex?  Is that like a hermaphrodite?
