This Thursday I will be asking for donations, (pass the hat) for Jonathan Ley. The Norwich Police Officer who was shot in the line of duty and barely survived. It is expected that he will have a very long recovery period and will only be collecting Workman's Comp, which is less than half of his regular take home pay. He has a mortgage and children like many of us without the ability to make up his loss of wages.
There is a major fundraiser being held at Dodd Stadium on March 30th, which is also the day of Ari Cullers wounded warrior benefit. I think a generous donation from the Club would go a long way to help him and his family.
