My plan for Sunday is to lead the Club on an "inspirational" ride.

Not being able to attend due to work around the house, I stopped over at 9:30am to have coffee and see them off.

If the ride was trully inspirational I can tell you the turn out wasn't.

THE LOGISTICS

The sun was shining and the day continually became warmer but when I arrived there was Dan D and Carey, Three members of the Legion riders stopped by and visited as Wolfie and Linda showed. Tom arrived shortley after with Steve B and Drew close behind. Dana brought up the rear of the bunch. Tom went inside to look at his map and program his GPS. (that would be Generous Pen Scribblings). I know the route was to be along routes 87,207, 97, and 14 stopping for lunch along the way before an undisclosed route back.

THE REALITY

Once done he took a head count, "You've got 4 wheels?", "Those three guys aren't coming with us?", "Linda and Wolfie are only going with us part of the way?". So as he looked at his dwindling rider count a smile came across his face, "HEY, this is going to be easy."

So I sat back and watched as the small contingent headed out, and I headed home.
