Riders on the Storm

This article from Roadrunner Magazine has some good tips on riding in the rain. I was surprised to learn that most motorcycle tires retain 80% of their traction in the rain. Unless you're on oil, transmission fluid or antifreeze that the rain has raised out of the asphalt.

It also suggests that if you practice riding in the rain, you’ll be better prepared and more confident when you are forced to ride in the rain either unexpectedly or when on a multiday trip and have to keep to your schedule.

We have a hard time just getting members to come to Dale’s "Skill Practice" on Tuesday nights during the Summer. I can’t imagine getting members to practice riding in the rain! But it does make sense.
