There was only one bike and a lot of cars parked outside when I arrived in my cage.
Turnout was pretty good for election night. The only contested
position was for 2nd Vice President and the incumbent retained his
position. Congratulations go to Steve Natale and thanks go to Craig Knutson for
stepping up and trying for the position.
The Local Turkey Run rumored to be happening this Saturday in
Jewett City has yet to be confirmed. Evidently this event had been advertised
with flyers that were handed out at Stash’s during breakfast last Sunday.

the details.
Also this Saturday, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, MSF Instructor Mike Gentile will be

There is no scheduled ride for this Sunday but the weather is
supposed to be pretty nice ( Partly Sunny and a high of 56 degrees). Road
Sergeant Dave Adams has once more volunteered to lead the ride. He mentioned a new (to the NLMC) eatery in Coventry recommended by Margo Rossiter as a possible destination. Meet at Dunkin
Donuts on CT32 in Montville for a 10:00 AM A.O.B.
NOTE: I will not be joining you on this ride as I must attend my grandmother's 100th Birthday Party. It's not the sort of thing I'll get to do again! So please take photos of the ride and send them to me with a report of how it went and I'll post it on the blog with your byline. Thanks!
It was mentioned that Pre-Meeting Dinners will be starting
next week (11/14/13) but the menu has not been disclosed. I’ve been to a number
of Pre-Meeting Dinners and have yet to be disappointed by the Club Steward’s
talents in the kitchen.
Any of you who have been reading this blog knows that Saturday, November 16th is the NLMC Banquet at the Holiday Inn in Norwich. Tickets are still available; $45 each if purchased at the 11/14/13 meeting and full price ($50) after that.

The International Motorcycle Show, which typically hits NYC in
January, is early this year, arriving the weekend of December 13th,
14th, and 15th.
New
England Cycleworks has arranged for a bus trip to the event for Sunday,
December 15th. $69 gets you a seat on the bus and a ticket to the
show.
Check their website for details: www.newenglandcycleworks.com. I just checked it and there is more info in the photo above. Better to call 860-445-8158 ext.2, ask for Chris O. in Sales.
Lance and Krystal Ellington will be moving and have asked for
help on two occasions:
The weekend after Thanksgiving they’ll need help moving a
boxboard and mattress and a few other large pieces of furniture to a public storage
unit.
On Tuesday, December 12th, they’ll need help
loading their bikes onto a U-Haul.
We wish them the best of luck on their move to Arkansas.
