Event
Description:
Holiday
Tradition in Old Saybrook! Parade features more than 20 Fife & Drum Corps,
Christmas floats, bagpipe bands and marching units. Leading the parade for the
43rd time is the 5th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. This unit's history dates
back to the Civil War. Public is
encouraged to bring lighted torches, flashlights and/or lanterns.
Lighted Torches? Now that’s something I’d like to see.
Average Mom’s and Pop’s with their 2.5 children walking in the parade or
standing on the side of the road with their
Lighted Torches.
