911 Ride

The 911 Memorial Ride is one week off.

This is just about an all nighter.

There will be two groups heading down, Mister Meadows will be heading for Heavenly Donuts in Derby on rte 34. From there he will run into the City and down to Battery Park.

The Second group will be lead by Road Captain Natale and will take the Merritt Parkway to the Hutch and the Whitestone into Queens at Northern Boulevard for the "911 Ride" into Manhattan and Ground Zero. Once in the City we will be tapeing over the Reg plates per NYPD instructions so as not to generate Seven or more thousand traffic citations for blown red lights.

After the ride last year with the difficulty tracking everyone down at the end and "gettin' out o' Dodge" together, it was decided this year we will group three or four bikes with 1 radio bike and at the end head to the west side to regroup for the ride home. The Cross County Parkway is smooth as a baby's behind for the ride home.

For exact information Steve will hold a discussion at the Thursday meeting.

Last year this was a fantastic ride, I didn't talk to one person who did not have a great time, of course last year the ride was hi-jacked and a large group of us ran through sections of the city the main body did not go, like Times Square, and that will probably not happen again, (but let's hope it does).
