The Sunday trail

Seven in all...five on their bikes...one for coffee...and one waving from a parking area on the Mohawk trail by his car. The R/G/C, you just never know where he will show himself.
Lite traffic getting to the trail. but many State Cops collecting taxes...we don't pay no stinking taxes.

Cool riding and even more so climbing the trail

Many construction zones...one lane at a time stuff, (many being 4).

Food at North Adams: We didn't know where to get chow, so the first place with ample parking
we found, looked good enough. After all there where no women on the hop and guy's will eat nearly anything...except.
Ya this place turned out to be a health coffee/grill/mingle kind of place. There was a picture of a stern looking old guy with a Turbin-like round white hat and no smile over the door way. Now I don't have a problem with the whole no smile thing since most people who talk to me leave with, you guessed it, NO SMILE.

I was unhappy with the menu since there was nothing I could see myself wanting, and what really cooked the goose was one look at the kitchen...no fryolator which means no good food groups.

Luckily there was a SUBWAY across the street, well me and Doug Young, who was shaking his head over the whole whole-wheat french toast and no salt shakers on the table took a second look at the Subway sign and again at the poor menu and we both did what we had to do, we took the subway. (the others had whole-wheat, turkey, fruit stuffed wraps. ed.).

The ride south (home) was OK when we got out of traffic but Sunday drivers come out on Sunday and we had more then we wanted.

Everybody got home around 4PM and the mile count was 300.
You wanted to go on this ride?
Wanted to ride the 15 M.P.H. switch back?
Wanted to see the last of the green on the trees for this year?

You snoozed and you loose,
If you're crying in your oat meal, just have more oat meal.
Next year is closer than it looks. Not many rides left,

Winter is coming.
