Maintenance Tip of the day:

If you find your windshield is disgustingly dirty, covered with road grime and bug guts, clean it. BUT, if you are using a product you have not tried before, find a small area, down low out of view to try it on. Not all Chemicals react well with motorcycle windshield poly.

For instance: Don't go to your local BMW car dealership, pick up a spray bottle of Windshield cleaner, and spray your entire windshield. What you will find is that the cleaner reacts with the windshield leaving it spotted, and distorted, sort of like looking through an aquarium full of water. It is so bad you would not be surprised if a goldfish swam by. When this happens you will find that trying to wash it off helps not at all, neither does hand buffing, or Headlamp cover repair buffing. there is only one thing that will make the view clear again and that is a new windshield.

Price one of those lately?

Let's just say it's cheaper to test the cleaner first.

Oh yeah...I put a new windshield on my bike tonight. it's actually a better height than the other, I look over the top edge instead of through it.

klay

(What is the last thing that goes through a bugs mind as it hits the windshield?
  (It's asshole)
