Paul Neves Bikini Run

No Paul wasn't wearing a Bikini...He lead the ride from D&D in Montville to the Columbia Motorsports Bikini Wash. To add interest to the Ride Tom rode to his right, and slightly behind like the big shots do. Seemed wierd seeing him there. We had seven Bikes when we left, we headed up 32 to 2A merged onto the highway as an Ambulance passed. As we built up speed for 395 and crested the hill after the on ramp we were forced to hit the brakes. The ambulance that had passed was heading to an accident,(a car backwards into the guard rail). As soon as we stopped there was a loud crash to our left rear and a cloud of black smoke rose behind us, a car in the high speed lane was caught out as he crested the hill and found both lanes of the highway stopped. Had we been in the left lane when he crested the hill there would have been a mess with us involved. After we crawled along the highway for a while we passed the accident and openned the throttles, crossing over rte 82 there was a bike waiting on the on ramp. As we passed the ramp we had one more club member in tow in the form of Mister Cherrick. He told me after he was worried he wouldn't make it there in time, he was also worried I would be leading because he knew if I was I would be on the back roads not the highway. We continued up 32 through Willimantic and into Columbia to find ourselves pretty much the first people there. As we were pulling in Rick and Drew arrived as did Joe. Slowly the place began to fill up and other than ourselves there weren't too many non-sport bikes. We talked with some other clubs, watched a dyno run, listened to the music and watched a jeep and a bike get washed (only two Bikini Girls).Dale cruised in a joined us. Met and talked with ED-O the President of Ground Assault CT MC, he was sporting a cast on his arm, after being in a accident on his way to Maryland where he was literally run over by a car. The car ran over his hip and chest, he was happy to have suffered only bruises and a broken arm but he had a couple excellant photos of his bruises (I have never seen brises where you can actually see the tire tread in the skin).
The scene really wasn't for me though, I don't care much for Hip-Hop music or Sport bikes so Sandwich, Joe and I headed to the Brewery in downtown Willimantic for supper, leaving after a Sport Biker performed a hand stand on his bike during a burnout in the pit (a different breed).
I will leave you with a saying that shows the difference between our Club abd a Sport Bike Club, there was a Hayabusa with a motto painted on it "At 200 Miles an Hour...You Have No Friends".
