Needed to Break out.

Reuben and Myself left work for a ride, we met up with mister Dunn at the Club. Dan was going to The Beach for the Practice. Not really wanting to do practice Reuben and I joined for the ride down. We left the Club and headed up Fire Street, to Chesterfield road. Down Chesterfield to rte 85 where we crossed to Grassy Hill road. We took that to Upper Four Mile River road or Whistle Town rd. We ran that down to Upper Pattagansett road past Pattagansett Lake (go figure) and onto Boston Post rd., a right turn on 161 and a run to Niantic and rte 156. A right turn onto Gardiners Wood road, Jordan Cove, Shore, Palmer, Goshen, Great Neck, Ridgewood, Peninsular, and into the Beach through the back door. On arrival at five after six the only person in the practice area was Coffee. The Deurllers, and Ted were at the Car show.  Not wanting to cruise the patterns I went off for a walk, (although some people may disagree, they walked to the car show, I did a couple idling laps around the place until I got there). After walking around a little, having a Root Beer float, a hot dog and a hamburger (supposedly although the taste was...not meat like.)

Anyway after wandering, and eating and having Fido find the board (see post to follow) we headed back over to the practice area, there were quite a few bikes by now with Tom instructing some newer riders the basics.

Reuben and I decided we needed a ride so I took us out through New London, out Crystal Av. to Old Norwich rd, Lathrop rd, Pink Row, 32 to Kitemaug, Massapeag, Dairy Hill, to Massapeag Side where we passed by a herd of deer in a field on the right and a couple loaners on the left. Massapeg side to Shantock rd, to 32, a right turn through the Mohegan Sun property (shhhh) around the loop onto 2a. 2A across the river into Ledyard through Poquetanuck onto Foundry then Col.Ledyard, into Ledyard Center and a right on 214 through the corners and a left onto Whalehead, then onto Sandy Hollow, by now I had Reuben confused, across the reservoir, a right on Center Groton rd, an immidiate left onto Lambtown extension, a right turn through the dirt road portion of that road, around the swamp, through the farm and back to pavement. Pull up at the next intersection an I stopped.

Reuben pulled up along side, I said, "This is where we part company, I'm going left, then right towards Mystic".  Reubens voice rose an octive, "What about me?!"  It was worth the entire ride. There is nothing like bringing someone from another state on a trip and then leaving them. I told him I had faith in him finding his way from there.

He was at work on Tuesday
