When riding Honor Guard you will usually ride side by side, when you get to the site the entire column gets off the bikes at the same time. You walk up to the front of the funeral parlor side by side with the person you were riding next to. Each two should do what the two in front of them are doing, walk when they walk, stop when they stop, etc.
Last night Julianne and Craig were ahead of Steve D. and myself, being married they had intertwined arms and her head was on his shoulder. In keeping with protocol Steve placed his arm in mine and laid his head on my shoulder...
Jim Mccabe standing behind us, told us that "That's just wrong, and that they were not going to do that." So much for protocol.
