Check today’s (August 2,2012) obits in “The Day” for Michael Swider. He & late wife Doris were members of
NLMC in the 60’s & 70’s. Mike & I rode many miles together. He
introduced me to “Joshua Town Road” in East Haddam which became my favorite M/C
road in eastern Connecticut. Mike’s shop in Salem carried the Norton &
Suzuki brands. Mike rode a Norton set up as what was called a café racer in
those days. He rode in the “European-Style” including flat bars, jodhpurs, pot
helmet & a leaning forward riding position. He would have looked right at
home on the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea.
