From the President

Indian Head Resort Trip:
It was a beautiful ride to New Hampshire with my 20 brothers and sisters.
First Glitch: We Stopped in Massachussetts to get gas. I fueled, moved the bike 20 feet and parked. Time to leave, 12:00noon, bike she no start and the resident experts couldn't figure out why there was no spark. 12:30 towed to Kelly's HD in Billerica, taken right in for service. I notice the group wasn't following and later found that "Nasty" ridden by Jason wouldn't start, as it was vapor locked. Tom just touched it and it started. Lief was good again and they all rolled into Kelly's.
3:00pm leaving Kelly's with a new crank positioning sensor ($ 234.00) and on the road again. Life is good. Then we hit Manhattan like traffic at rush hour from Manchester to Concord, 2 feet at a time.
5:30pm arriving at the resort, the ride was fabulous despite the glitches. Dinner 6:30pm and by 8:30pm there were a dozen NLMC members in the hot tub sipping on a cocktail. What happened later stays in New Hampshire, but let's just say one person didn't make the ride on Saturday. The rest made a beautiful 120 miles ride, while Rick Rubenstein and I headed home. It was intentional because we wanted to be available for the MDA run on Sunday. (Presidential responsibilities, LOL!!!) Anyway, we stopped just down the road for gas, I needed a knife to open a package, walk to my bike to get my leatherman out of the leather bag and found there were no leather bags on either side. (mounted in front of the hard bags). I came to the conclusion that the dealer forgot to put them back on, called the dealer to find that was the case. So, a little side trip back to Kelly's and it was a real enjoyable ride home.
The rest came home on Sunday. Jason failed to return his gas cap after gasing because he was "distracted" and discovered same at the next gas stop. Nasty has a locking cover that hides the gas cap. Anyway, he and Dale went to an AutoZone and found a perfect replacement.

MDA Run to the Sun
16 NLMC Bikes went on the MDA Run to the Sun on Sunday. We were well noticed by NLC Hog and it was a decent run escorted by 2 CSP motor officers, ending with the all you can eat buffet at the Mohegan Sun. No glitches. Joe Forgarty did a great job leading the group, and I thank all who came out to support the Club support a worth cause.
