26 bikes from the Club rode in the Ahn Run, or our version of it. The Club met at Dunkinn Donuts for a 10am AOB, ( six of us met for breakfast before hand at Norms in Groton at 830am)
Tom led this motly bunch up 32 across the Mohegan Bridge onto rte 2 to register at the Preston VFW
It was decided it would be easier if everyone paid Paul and cut the Freedom Riders a check. Since the Club was going on a ride of its' own each person playing the poker hand, drew thier numbers right there. Once everyone was set and the speaches given the Club mounted up and took off across rte 2 and 201 to 138, 49, 14A and 14.
Stopped for lunch then returned 14 to 169 into Norwich then 12 to 2 and back to the starting point.
There was a gentleman sporting a metal funnel for a helmet. This funnel, has history, the funnel helmet was made by Don "pappy" Pitsley for a gentleman to wear to Hartford during the Helmet Law wars. See photo
