Things to do

Wednesday night is Middletowns Motorcycle Mania!!! We will have a tent and a table there for recruiting and if it is like last year everyone had a great time. Friday Bubba. Rick and myself set out for a number of stops and one one to get the tent from Charlie, with time constants and being on bikes bubba got a hold of Road Seargent Mike H. to arrange pickup and delivery of the tent to the clubhouse. Mike contacted Carol who made the ride in her car and got the tent to where it was suppose to be. (And yes Jim, I do work...sometimes)
Saturday the club rode into the land of Helmets when Les and Adriane led the club into Massachusetts and Mount Greylock to run on freshly paved roads. Unalble to attend I have been told the roads were great, and the clubs footplates have been worn a little more on the corners and switchbacks. The Club then ran the Trail over Florida mountain to Charlemont for fuel then back to 112. then it was eastward to Quabbin Resevoir and south to Ware (Where?) for Ice cream before heading home. I have heard nothing but praises for the ride and am Sorry I could not have been there. (I have even been told Tom smiled...alot)

Sunday the Club left DD on 32 and ran 95 to Groton and Rte 184, 184 east to North Stonington to meet other Club members (1) at Micky D's in North Stonington. The ride from there led into RI down to rte 97 through Shannock past the horseshoe dam then rte 3 to 138, 110 south and through Wakefield then Narragansett and Point Judith to the Bon Vue Inn for Lunch, Last weeks visit found the service a little slow but the food was good, this week the service was...well...lets just say our table had the wrong waiter. The chowder was cool to luke warm, but at least the clam fritters were hot and good. It could be me...Maybe people don't like me. both last week and this week we were first to sit, first to order, last to get our food.
Thank you to Carey for picking up the tab, next time let everyone know up front so we can order the Black Angus fillets and Lobsters.
From there we rode back to Connecticut for coffee at DD in North Stonington on Route 2. There was only one mis-communication during the ride, once again the road guards protected against traffic on the left only, but the President caught it and sent another rider out to protect the right. It's alright though, we can't be too critical since the lead road guard was new at it and a temporary replacement for the normal people..

Rider turnout for this ride was light, perhaps due to the overcast skies, which looked like rain, or perhaps too many saddle sores from the day before.
