Sunday 21st,

I guess between the amount of people that were at the Get together on Saturday and today's ride it is safe to assume the Club is fed up with winter. Just like a bunch of kids, burning fingers and cherry red faces been out in the cold too long but having too good a time to notice. Lunch at Bidwell Tavern was the same, a lot of loud laughing people having a great time, and the food was good which is normal at Bidwells. Les and the "Webmangler" drove down and joined the party.

There was some debate as to whether this was the first ride of the season, with the 2nd VP saying it was and the Road Captain saying the Old Saybrook trip was the first. The second VP pointed out that this was the first ride because everyone met up before heading out while the Old saybrook run most people rode on their own and met up at the Diner. With this the Road Captain said that if the 2nd VP wanted to split hairs then O/K,this was the first ride.

With it time to leave, some of the bikes went their own way while six of us including the Road Captain (a gentler more easier version of himself) headed west on 31 to 44, rte 44 east to 97 and south on 97 to Taftville where we jumped on 395 to Norwichtown and Friendlys for coffee before we all split up and went our own ways. Another excellent day with great company and great roads.
