I used to look at those people who run into the Ocean on New Years day, be they called Penguins or Polar Bears or what ever name they chose and wonder "What kind of NUT would do that?"
Let's face it, in relation to the amount of people that don't do it, they are a small group, so...they can't be the most intelligent of animals. If it were wonderful the lines to get in the water would be longer, Hell the beaches would be open year round. Point in fact...The beaches are closed...Because..."It's not swimming season". Why isn't it swimming season? Because its C-O-L-D.
So why do they do it? And just who are these people?
Let's look at one of them, just a random choosing from the group...
For lack of a better name... We'll call him Dave.
What doe's Dave do for a living?
What doe's Dave do for fun?
Is he married?
Does he own a dog?
Was he dropped on his head as a baby.
Some of these answers we may never know,
But if you want to see Dave jump in the ocean on January 1st, all you have to do is join us, and you will.
January 1st. Two Thousand and eleven.
The plan: meet at Norms, eat, watch this Nut, ah person, an d a whole group of others, jump in the sea.
Trust me..., he wants you to be there, he wants you to see,
He wants you to join him.
Coffee afterwards at the 5 corners.

Due to a small case of Red Tide at Sarasota key Beach,The Sarasota penguins plunge will be held at the pool on January 1st, weather permitting......If it's snowing, below 50, the outside pool temp is below 70, we will use the inside pool.....
