NLMC already started 2011 with an event.
19 Bikes 2 four wheelers and 25-30 members attended a fund raiser for the homeless by attending the New Year's Day Plunge, at Eastern Point Beach. Our Club supported 2 of our members, Dave and Doug Adams, and made donations. It was pretty cool pulling in the long driveway as people were clapping, shouting, and photographing us, as if we were Rock Stars pulling into the parking lot. There was about 300-400 in attendance. We watched the Adam boys take the plunge with 40 other brave souls, most of which were in their 20's and younger. What does that say about the Adam boys. Good time, and of course we headed for coffee before we separated. I usually have to work New Years Day, and this was the first time I rode my bike on January 1st in New England. Very Cool.
