There is a ride this weekend, it is a Mystery Ride, That's when the Road Captain picks a vague route, leads the club up and down roads for an hour or two, then pulls over at the closest restaurant for lunch. As the club eats, he gets out the maps and tries to figure out where he is and how to get back.
A.O.B. is at 11am, That's correct Eleven Ante Meridiem which is Latin for "Before noon" as opposed to Post Meridiem which means you had too much to drink the night before and overslept.
So with the later start you can:
Sleep in
Watch the last Formula One race of the season (We'll be watching that Sunday night, DVR)
Do an extra load of laundry
Rake the leaves
or if a Road Guard or RGW (Road Guard Wannabe) you can go with Tom and Practice.
There is also Breakfast to consider, too many people miss the most important meal of the day. So if you are interested Mister Miner, Ms Schwarz, and Myself will be having breaky at Norms at 8am. After eating we will be heading off for a ride, perhaps east through Noank, Mystic, Stonington and Pawcatuck, then north to North Stonington, Home of Tree, (and Trees), then possibly (depending on time) past The Emerald City and north on 164 to Jewitt City before swinging south on 395 or back roads to the 11am A.O.B. of the Mystery ride.
The weather is supposed to be warm, sunny and toasty (toasty for November).
klay
