19 Bikes and 20 members braved the threat of cold, and the threat of rain and met at the Equinox Diner. 18 Rode in the parade while Dave Adams and Katlin walked the route keeping spectators on the sidewalks. It was a few less than we had for the New London Irish Parade, 26, but considering the weather forecast I was impressed.
We staged at the Equinox Diner for NLMC then rode as a group to the Parade staging area for about noon.
We were moving around 1:30pm and ended at 2:30pm. Other than a couple of minor mishaps both front and rear drill teams did great and the crowd cheered us on. We ended with a big kudos from the reviewing stand, and rode scenic Rte 215 to the Dunkin Donut's (Jane's Place) on Rte 1 in Groton across from Citizen's Bank for refreshments.
