Right now it's on the ground...

This morning it was covering everything, trees, cars, houses, ground and roads...it looks pretty in the morning sun, but that's about it. It's cold, it's slippery, and it makes a mess. We shovel it, plow it, and put down salt to get rid of it. Snow and ice, cold miserable things.

But wait a few months...

The sun will be shining, the sweat dripping in your eyes, soaking your clothes. There will be days when even riding the bike doesn't help, it's just fast moving hot air. The humidity will wrap around you like cellophane.

Then the wars will start...

You'll be standing in line waiting for that smooth, cool fruity goodness.

Then the music wars will start, remember those? No matter what you were doing as a kid, that music brought it to a stop, then a run home for money...

In my neighborhood it was the other guys...The guys dressed in white...
They would pull up, get "off" the truck (convertible), find out what you wanted, then open the appropriate little hatch on the side. the fog from the cold freezer area meeting the heat and humidity of summer would roll out of the hatch past the driver as he retrieved your frozen treat.

I'm going to show my age here...the truck that came down my street was like the shamrock company truck.
