The Thursday night ride that was

After a major debate as to who would be leading the ride, with no one actually volunteering to do so, Theresa suggested that Paul lead us on the Essex route. Paul agreed but because Salem Four corners was torn up he opted for a different route. We pulled out of David's Place and picked up rte 161 to Flanders Four Corners where we grabbed route one to the Land they named the disease after (Lyme). Paul took us over the Connecticut River on I-95 then lead us up route 9 to Exit 3. Off the ramp we made a left then a quick right and ran through downtown Essex Village then out River road to Route 154 in Deep River.

We followed 154 north to route 82 and back across the river in East Haddam. We ran up 82 to 151 and hooked a left to avoid The construction in Salem. Paul took us up 151 to rte 16 then 2 to 11 and we crossed onto 354 for the run Old Colchester road and the Club. Paul seemed a little unsure of the 151/149 section but with an occasional look in his mirror to Danny's turn signal he did alright.

Next week we're thinking about having Paul lead up through North Stonington and western Rhode Island.
