Recent Activities and Coming Events

On April 13th a $200 donation was made at the Twisted Sister 5th Annual Biker Breakout Breakfast in support of the Prudence Crandall Center – Breaking the cycle of domestic violence one person at a time.

Another $200 was donated to the Shoreline Riders’ Shaken Baby Awareness Benefit on April 19th.

This past week a number of members visited the Waterford Country School and Covenant Shelter to deliver the donations generated by the Blessing at the Beach. ($250 for the school and $1000 for the shelter).

They were surprised to learn that the Waterford Country School takes in animals for the children to work with and learn about. They are also looking for volunteers. The executive board is considering future events at both of these institutions.

There were about 25 members at the New England Regional Chili Cookoff last Saturday for the benefit of the Patriot Guard Riders and the Somers Fire Dept. to which we made a $200 donation.

About 20 members attended the Moose Club’s Poker Run the following day and donated about $300.

Today the NLMC Team participated in the Center for Hospice Care: Walk 2014! They  raised a total of $350.
