On Wednesday, Work paid Jason and I to go back up there and pick her up:
The boys at TSI:
- Checked for oil leaks
- Washed and dried the high flow air filter
- Checked the lights
- Changed the oil and filter
- Replaced primary case oil
- Checked transmission fluid
- Cleaned and lubed (with anti-seize), Jiffy stand
- Cleaned and lubed levers, perches, and speedo cable
- Cleaned and lubed Shift shaft
- Inspected brakes, still o/k at 75%.
- Inspected the tires,adjusted pressures, 36psi in front, worn 3/32, 40psi in the rear,worn 5/32
- Checked pivot points on bags and fuel door
- Inspected drive belt (14"-5/16")
- Removed the battery, cleaned the terminals and case
- Checked the alternator, 14.24v charge idle and cranking
- Checked the battery 424cca,
- Inspected starter, normal cranking volts, 10.24v
- Lubricated steering head and cleaned any excess grease from area.
- Inspected, adjusted and tightened engine mount and stabilizer links
- Re-torqued all critical fasteners
- Inspected exhaust, re-torqued fasteners
- Inspected cruise control
- Checked ECM, radio calibrations, Race tuned
- DTC printout
- Inspected and adjusted idle speed
- Test ride and washed
The engine clatter has now gone away and the ride is smoother like when I took the bike home last year for the first time.
Best of all!!! I no longer have to wait for you people to stop at an intersection to light a cigarette, They found a short in the wire in the fairing and replaced it. just to celebrate it I smoked three cigarettes on the ride back to New London!!! Oh yeah...I can power the CB now too..but....that would mean not using the lighter for its intended Harley Davidson approved use.
