AN ACT REQUIRING EYE EXAMINATIONS FOR PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF SIXTY-FIVE SEEKING RENEWAL OF A DRIVER'S LICENSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require any person over the age of sixty-five to undergo an eye examination, performed by the Department of Motor Vehicles, an optometrist licensed pursuant to chapter 380 of the general statutes or any health care provider authorized to perform eye examinations, prior to renewal of such person's driver's license.
Statement of Purpose:
To require eye examinations for any person over the age of sixty-five seeking to renew a driver's license.
