It never gets any easier losing a brother member, but this came
as a complete shock to me. Randy may not have been with the club very long, but
he fit right in from the start and participated in most of the club rides and
activities. It was a pleasure riding with Randy on his bright orange Harley. He
usually chose to ride towards the back of the pack. Often I’d find him directly
behind or next to me and I felt confident knowing that I was riding
with such a competent rider.
Randy had a very good eye for photography and when we weren’t
competing to get the same shot at a club event, I was “stealing” copies of the
pictures he posted on Facebook to round out reports for the blog. Randy was
very generous about this and I relied on his Facebook posts whenever I was
unable to attend club events.
Very often Randy rode "Two-Up" with his daughter, Julie. Julie should know that there will always be a pillion seat available whenever she wants to join in one of our rides. Our condolences go to her and the Perry Family.
Randy may not have been with the club for a long time, but he will be greatly missed.
Here are some shots of Randy from NLMC rides and events.
Rest in peace, brother, rest in peace.
