We left Mikes at 11am sharp with a Connecticut State Police cruiser leading the way and a mounted motorcycle cop running interference. I was surprised at the low number of riders from the Club, but with the Brit Jam going on in Haddam Neck, The Heart Ride running out of Christopher's in Groton, and the price of The Dream Rides registration,($30 for rider, $20. for passenger + fuel), I have to say the turnout wasn't that bad.
The Club was not needed as Road Guards so we sat back to enjoy the ride, (as long as you didn't have a purple shirt riding in front of you).
It was a straight forward run, it took us out of Mikes onto 117 then I-95 south to route 9 to 84 then into Farmington. There were a number of vendors, plenty of food...everywhere...live bands, and a car show.
There were a lot of bikes at Farmington and I wanted to get a shot of them all, but, it turns out that you have to occasionally recharge a camera battery. Were you aware of this? Luckily I took a few before the camera died.
Of course to publish them I first have to download them...this also requires the camera to have power in the battery.
klay
