Riding down route 12 with his wife on the back of the bike, halfway between Plainfield and Jewitt City, near the Agway, That is exactly what Keith (Bub's son) caught, a round in the chest. Luckily for him it was a BB. Now some may say a BB? But that BB went through his leather vest, and through his shirt before his chest caught it. Luckily again it didn't penetrate, but the report is that it hurt like HELL. Now picture if he had caught that in his face, or it entered between the Vest flaps. A leather vest is pretty thick and it put a hole through it.
Police report this is not the first instance, but it is the first on a bike. They have many reports of windshields shot out on route 395 in that area, so far, no clues.
So if you are passing through that area, watch out. A BB gun may the this persons starting point. There is no telling if this person may graduate to something bigger.
