Preston is in the process of repairing it's roads, They are not repaving them, probably due to the economic situation, they are using oil and loose stone.
So do not be surprised if in your travels through that town, you find yourself on a back road that goes from being great to miserable.
The stone is about 2 inches deep, except where cars have been through and made ridges. Bikes sort of plow their way through with a lot of steering input.
Roads found so far:
Mathewson Mill rd
Northwest Corner road.
But do not think Preston is the only town doing this, with the roads in the condition they got in after last winter a lot of them need repairing and with towns strapped for cash, oil and stones may start showing up all over.
