As time went by more bikes arrived and the plan for the parade continued. We moved up to staging, and parked next to bag-pipers, Not the best location. When asked what the definition of a gentleman was an Englishman once said, "A gentleman is a man who can play the bagpipes, but has the decency, not to".
As the parade kicked off Bubba moved us from the pipers, and behind the walking dog show, (two things not to be behind on a motorcycle in a parade, dogs and horses), out into the street. Then he moved us up to one of the directors and finagled our way up towards the front. The parade runs along rte 14 and is fairly short but it does seem to have a good turn out of spectators. The only thing reminiscent of a drill team was one man on an old farm tractor who keep doing loops.
After the parade, with the bikes that ran through the entire parade, without being started and shut down, were a little warm, and the roads heading over to Plainfield were a welcome sight. Bubba took us to Hanks dairy bar on rte 12 for lunch.
