The "Blessing at the Beach", sponsored by the New London Motorcycle Club, is scheduled for April 13th this year. The event is held at Ocean Beach in New London Connecticut, with vendors, motorcycle dealers, food and drinks, and a live band.
Last years event had great weather (windy, but hell, it's April) and the turnout was pretty good, this year the blessing of the bikes kicks off at 2pm, but the gates open at 11am to allow people to arrive, visit the vendors and have a good time. Admission is $5.00 per person with the Club supporting the Covenant Shelter.
Every year this event gets larger and larger with more vendors and more activities and more bikes...
OK... 2012 was an off year, the Club arrived on their bikes and about thirty other people, but then the weather wasn't the greatest.
But as long as the weather is good, this years event should be even better than last years...
There may be a few less bikes there, But the event goes on no matter the weather.
Hey...if it's snowing...wouldn't you rather have your bike blessed for the ride home?
