Founder's Day Ride
We departed Dunkin Donuts in Uncasville at 10:00am with 23 bikes, made a stop on the Jenning's Road off ramp straight across to the I 91 on ramp where we picked 2 New Haven County members and Willie Clauson who was riding in a cage with his wife as he is recovering from a back injury. So, 25 bikes and a cage continued on to East Hampton, Ma. and visited the resting place of our founding father and mother Ralph and Ruth Strong. Later we had lunch in town, fueled and head home on Massachusetts secondary road which took us near the Quabbin. We got hit with some light rain between North Hampton and Amherst but improved as we headed south to Stafford Springs and Rte 32.
We stopped at UCONN for ice cream but it was packed so we left for a friendly's a few miles down the road. It was a 170 mile day for me, not a pretty day but relaxed ride.
